French River Day 2

Tuesday

Cloudy and light drizzle on and off all day.

Left mooring at 09:45 and reached lock 2 - La Chapelle-sur-Oudon at 10:10.

Arrived at lock 1, Maingue, at 10:40 and moored in Segré at 11:00.

Wandered round the shops, took tea in a pavement cafe and found a circular walk which started out by following the river further upstream.  The walk then doubled back on the opposite bank by the out door swimming pool and lido.

Left Segré at 14:15, Lock 1 at 14:45, Lock 2 took from 15:05 to 15:20

Lock 3 "La Himbaudière" at 16:20 and emerged on to La Mayenne at 17:30 and headed upstream (North).

Left Lock 41 "Montreuil-sur-Maine" at 18:05 and arrived at Lock 40 "la Roche Chambellay" at 18:30.

Moored at Chambellay town moorings at 18:55.
